Student uses pocket Constitution

Mt. Lebanon School District -- As a part of our American Political and Economic System course required of all 9th graders we distribute to each a pocket Constitution. The Supervisor secures these through the National Constitution Center free of charge. One of our 9th graders Mike Suley made good use of his Constitution. Mike along with his family attended the recent presentation by the President in Pittsburgh. After the President’s speech the President made his way into the crowd. Mike asked the President if he had a pocket Constitution. The President said he didn’t have one on him presently so Mike presented him with a copy. Mike also had a second copy supplied by Bill Lewis his Civics teacher. Mike was able to get that copy autographed. Here is a picture of Mike talking to the President and a scan of the signed Constitution.
