Specter and Santorum Announce Senate Youth Program Delegates

Senators Arlen Specter and Rick Santorum announced the appointment of Mathew Leskowitz and Ali Abbas Zaidi as the Pennsylvania delegates to the 42nd Annual United States Senate Youth Program in Washington, D.C. Dr. Vicki L. Phillips, Secretary of Education, named the state's high school delegates.

Mathew Leskowitz, a resident of Huntingdon Valley, is Student Council President at Lower Merion High School. Matt is a member of the Varsity Tennis team and editor of the school yearbook. Matt coordinated the school's "involvement day" and a local tutoring club.

Ali Abbas Zaidi, a resident of Edinboro, is Student Council President at General McLane High School. Ali is a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Drunk Drivers, and Model United Nations. He is also president of the Star Service Group and participant in the Environthon.
